Atlas Studios

Over the last 50 years, major film studios in Hollywood have come to Ouarzazate because of the perfect conditions to film desert scenes. Production is cheaper, and they benefit from excellent support infrastructures.

What movies were shot here? Lawrence of Arabia, Black Hawk Down, Kundum, Gladiator, The Mummy 1 and 2, The Kingdom of Heaven, Sahara, Troy, Exorcist 1 and 2, Hidalgo, Babel, Patton, Romancing the Stone, The Last Temptation of Christ, Passion of the Christ, Prince of Persia, Sahara, Astérix e Obelix, Spy Game. And, of course, Game of Thrones.

CLA Studios and Atlas Studios are the two main studios, close to one another, outside Ouarzazate. You can visit unless they’re filming and, in that case, they limit access to the studios or close them altogether.
